AALTO aalto lounge chair 400
A lounge chair with modern flair, armchair 400 was created by Finnish designer Alvar Aalto in 1936 and is thought to be one of his most iconic designs. The low-slung sled base has earned it the nickname of the “tank”. Part of design history, this piece can be viewed in the Museum of Modern Art’s permanent collection.

When Poul Henningsen designed the iconic PH Artichoke for the Langelinie Pavillonen restaurant in Copenhagen in 1958, he opted for solid copper leaves with a rose finish on the leaves' interiors. This combination lent an exceptional warmth to the lamp's organic form and beautifully reflected the light from its hidden source.

KNOLL mies van der rohe mr lounge chair
Designed in 1928, the MR lounge chair represents some of the earliest steel furniture designs by Mies van der Rohe. The material choice was inspired by fellow Bauhaus master Marcel Breuer, while the forms are thought to be modern derivatives of 19th century iron rocking chairs.

TECTA schinkel (d60) garden chair
Karl Friedrich Schinkel’s garden chair, originally produced in the (state-owned) royal iron foundry in Berlin, was a product of an industry which was developing rapidly thanks to the steam engine, an early mass-produced item made from a few parts and without a restriction in numbers: its function was to add to relaxation in gardens and parks, respite which the people who made the chair were initially able to enjoy only rarely, if at all.

LOUIS POULSEN panthella lamp
Panthella Table and Panthella Floor were designed by Verner Panton in 1971 and remain one of his most popular fixture designs. The organic shapes are typical of a Verner Panton design, as were the many strong colors the fixture was originally available in. Verner Panton wanted to create a light fixture where both the foot and the shade served as a reflector. Today the lamp is only available in white.
